Post Things I'm thankful for
NOTE: Mods, please don't move this, it's relevant to this forum.

I know it tough to be thankful for much after a two game losing skid, but I'm going to try anyway. Now understand, the Lions deserve A LOT of criticism. It's tough being a fan right now while this team flounders.

However...

1. I'm thankful that this team is still battling for first place. Seriously, when is the last time the Lions Thanksgiving game has had any relevance to the season at hand? Maybe for the Lions opponent, but rarely for the Lions. The Lions have a chance to be first place.... pretty cool if you ask me.

2. Calvin Johnson. I think everyone should be thankful for Megatron. We have the most dangerous receiver in football. He breaks records and makes opponents looks stupid.

3. Matt Stafford. He's had a couple of rough weeks, but this guys is hands down the best QB we've had SINCE Bobby Lane. I won't say he better than Lane, but he's defiantly better than the rest...by a lot!

4. The City of Detroit. I grew up in the Metro area, and I love this place. All of it. It's home to me. I'm glad the Lions are part of that home.

5. My fellow Lions fans. Maybe it's because misery loves company, but I love my fellow Lions fans. We've all been through a lot. I really believe that Lions fans overall are some of the best sports fans period.

6. Lionbacker.com. I'm not just being a slappy, this site is one of the few places I feel comfortable talking Lions stuff. It's awesome. Thank you.

If I had to do a 7th one I'd say I'm thankful for Spell Check, but that's kinda far of topic.

Anyhoo, I hope this wasn't to sappy, but I needed to say something positive.

Happy Thanksgiving, Lionbacker!

GO LIONS!

We love you too man!

To add to the sentiment,

I'm thankful I've gotten to wear my "Lions won" tie 6 times already. Far too many years went by when I didn't get to wear it that many times.

I'm thankful for Suh still playing cleaner than most players. Almost 2 years in the books and only 2 personal foul calls in the duration...yep he must be dirty!

I'm thankful the F.O. Ignores me and drafted Staff, and Ansah. We know all about what Stafford has done compared to a certain LB that I will not name, but how bout the way Ansah is looking during his development. I'm glad they didn't pass by him.

I'm thankful to be watching my boys on turkey day!

I'm thankful to finally get to see the Lions definitively thump the Packers. And they humiliated them with a safety, too.

great thread.

im thankful that all of those "stud" OTs being drafted in the top 4.

for delmas' health

for being able to run the ball and stop the run

and i agree this site is just downright theraputic sometimes

Im thankful that when the packers started getting chippy we didnt stoop to it. When tramon williams lost his cool, they could only throw flags on them. The packers looked classless and like sore losers, as opposed to us.

I'm thankful the Lions not only won but decisively defeated the Packers on a traditional Lions game day.

Man, absolutely nothing comes easy to the Lions. Not even help from another team. I swear there is some cosmic force whose sole purpose for it's existence is to throw as many roadblocks into the pathways of the Lions sucess as possible.
