Wow, what a game. Basically the opposite of last week, were the Lions outplayed Atlanta and lost, this week the Vikings defense held the Lions in check yet at the end the Lions with a few kneel downs to get the win. The Lions Defense got a some fumble recoveries and played another great game. This team is really looking good this year. For the Division, I think the order is Lions, Vikings, Packers, and Bears.

And this was also a game where the refs just let the teams play, a lot of uncalled penalties on both sides.

Very strange game. The Lions did very little on there own to win this thing. Dalvin Cook tore his ACL and just let the ball go as his knee buckled and the Vikings inexplicably went to a Wildcat and botched another handoff. Basically 11 free points for the Lions. Then after allowing a potentially game tying drive into the redzone the Lions lucked out again when the Vikings pass blocking scheme somehow couldnt account for all 4 dlineman with a base pass rush. No stunts, no blitzes, just didnt block Zettel on 3rd and goal. Even after a questionable decision from Zimmer to go for a 4th and goal from the 14, the Vikings still had a chance bc the Lions couldnt dial up 3 plays to gain a yard or burn even 12 seconds off the clock to get the game past the 2 minute warning. Vikings defense truly had the Lions offense on its heals, getting quick pressure on Stafford and really digging in once Abdullah went out when he re injured his foot. Finally Glover Quinn came in and poked the ball out to seal the win. Lions also got away with two pass interference penalties and Stafford nearly threw 3 or 4 INTs but whatever a win is a win. Not sure this team looks as impressive as the 2011 team but off to a good start.

I only got to watch the last 2 mins of the game, so the team looks amazing to me.

Sad to see Cook go down, but that was part of the reason I didn't wan't the Lions to draft him. The kid had loads of injuries in college and will be a ticking time bomb every game he is on the field. With Cook out and Bradford being Bradford the Vikings season is probably shot.

It appears the Vikes have found the keys to shutting down the lions offense. Not good from the offense. However, no turnovers by Stafford (although he should have thrown a pick, but the DB completely dropped it).

Abdullah, Lang, and Davis should be back next week. I'm not worried about them.

It was obvious on third down in the gun that Staff was throwing. They didn't even try to disguise the pass by putting Abdullah, Riddick, or Zenner back there. Way too obvious and the Vikes were blitzing every time. JBC has to change it up a bit, otherwise, Staff will get sacked 6+ times a game. It was ugly.

With as many times as we have been robbed, I will not apologize for an ugly win.

Most NFL seasons consist of strange games. We need to win some offensively, we need to win some defensively, and we need to win some with special teams. We've done all three this season, so it's good to see we're more well rounded than we have been in the past. We were one play away from beating the Falcons, and I'd expect division opponents to be tougher games. W is a W.
