Probably a good career move with a better defense and Marvin Lewis longevity in question. Could be a wink wink HC in waiting.

Good out of the North and out of the NFC. Good luck to him then. He wasn't going to be our DC anyway.

Should be very comfortable for Austin going from one coach that wont ever win you a playoff game to the King of never winning in the playoffs.

Payton Manning won those 2 playoff games. Caldwell was just there to watch.

i dont know about that lewis basically has a one year deal to win a playoff game while the club has a year to examine other options they may want to target. if lewis/austin dont win then they are probably both out.

Where did I blame Caldwell for the losing the game?

His only post season success as a head coach came with a hall of fame QB immediately after taking over for a hall of fame coach. He was just along for the ride in his first year in Indy.

lol you realize ur putting ur faith in a coach who s riding the coattails of a hall of fame coach and hall of fame qb right? how do you justify crediting one who s never even been tested without is GOAT friends and discrediting the other who did have experience and success without his hall of famers?

Caldwell took over for Dungy and thats why I don't put much credit in his first year in Indy. Caldwell got a free pass with the culture and system already there for him, he didn't have to get to know the team or make any real change to his life other than taking on the HC role.
