Post BIG Harrington Trade Rumor
Terry Foster of AM 1270 reports the Lions are talking with KC Chiefs to trade Joey Harrington for "Multiple Draft Picks".

Lions want DJ AND a pick- but this part is uncertain.

Stay tunned!!

This is beyond stupidity.

We are now flirting with insanity.

Mooch's boy Garcia couldn't win the job, and Mooch couldn't kill Joey on Monday night.

SO the only way to start FLUTTERNUTZ GARCIA IS TO TRADE OUR 3 YEARS OF INVESTED TIME WHO HAS BEEN LOOKING PRETTY GOOD AS OF LATE FOR POTENTIAL DRAFT PICK FUTURE AND A ROOKIE?!??!

ARE WE THE FREAKING SAINTS?!?!

This is dumb. I would not be worried if this was from Killer, but Terry Foster seems like a somewhat more reliable source. But still, it will never happen.

This is a real ongoing discussion right now!

Dick Vermeil initiated this because he likes Joey a lot and thinks he "hasn't been treated fairly in Detroit by Mooch or the fans".

Chiefs want to deal ONLY picks - Lions want a player and a pick. One concern for the Lions is who will back up Garcia. They are 'thinking' about Jeff George.

I'm NOT making this up!!

I'm not saying it's a good idea I'm just reporting the news. Don't shoot the messenger.

Besides, now that Garcia's leg is Broken (left fibula) this deal is most likely dead anyway. He's out for at least 8 - 9 weeks if he's not put on IR and done for the year.

Who's our back up now? Dan Orlovsky? Jeff George?

Of course it's Dan O. BEAST!

Notice how Dan O's stats aren't great, but no one is complaining about it (6/14, 98 yards) because he hasn't been making mistakes, he's been operating the offense efficently, and we are up by 3 TDs.

Yeah, but people blame Joey for that...he doesn't make a whole lot of mistakes, but he also doesn't put the ball in the endzone.

He throws uncatchable balls that the receivers get blamed for.

He has been the "leader" of the team for the last 3 seasons, resulting in a 14-34 record.

Is Dan's team winning?

Is Dan a quarterback in his 4th year in the NFL, with numerous game experience?

The team isn't winning because of Dan. 2 Ints and good ST teams play have helped a lot more than Dan throwing for like 40% and zero TDs or INTs.

I wasn't debating how much experience he has or anything like that, I was just saying that he has had some really crappy throws and you're making it seem like the reason he's 6/14 or whatever is the receiver's fault and not the fact that he's overthrowing them most of the time.
