I told a friend that Brees has "Mitchell" written all over him this morning. He may turn out to be good, but he has had only one good season. And I agree, S.D. will probably franchise him.
As for Rivers, consider this: How many draft picks would Detroit have to give up for him and how much will he cost? Detroit couldn't afford his salary along with Harringtons.

I'm sure that Rivers would be costly and I wouldn't go after him unless we got Chow. That being said, he'd probably cost a player (take you're pick, not sure what San Diego might need) or a ton of picks and possibly cash.

The rumor I hear on Rivers is the Cowboys would trade one of there first rounders to the Chargers and Drew Henson for River.
