Anyone else surprised? There should be a battle for OT depth in the rest of the pre-season. If Matt McCoy impresses, maybe he will earn at least a practice squad spot. Besides our starters, the rest of our offensive tackles are Victor Rogers, Kelly Butler (R), and Matt McCoy (UDFA). Not too good!

The only surprise is that it occured so early in camp. Ben Johnson fell off the second edition of the LB depth chart. Don't forget that Solomon Page is working at tackle in camp. More importantly, Matt Joyce can play 4 positions along the OL (everything but center) and might have pushed for the guard spot if he wasn't so valuable as a backup. He can certainly fill in at tackle as well.
