 Donovan Darius
Last offseason the Lions identifield a problem on the offensive line and went out their way to sign Woody who was the only significant player at his position.
This year do you think they could do the same thing in the secondary and make a similar pitch to bring in Donovan Darius (assuming he's not francised) who is the only significant SS out there as free agent and better than anybody in the draft.

They'd better. As long as he isn't the next Brock Marion. I would love to see donovan at SS and Holt at FS. That would make our linebackers that much better. How much $$ will a guy like him command?

Id love to see Dariusbut dont think it will happen. Millen said not to long ago he doesnt expect to sign any tier 1 free agents. Maybe he is playing coy (I Hope so ) but he is not expecting any big FA's this year.

He also said that Marty would be coming back for a third season . Hopefully, he is being as serious now as he was then. If we could get Gracia and Darius and Rivera, that would be great.

Let me just pray for my original plan.
Trade #10 to Jacksonville
receive S Donovin Darius and #21
Draft Heath Miller at #21
Sign Marco Rivera, Jeff Garcia
Re-sign Stockar McDougle, Dominic Raiola, Marcus Bell
Tender/re-sign Eddie Drummond, Vernon Fox, Chris Cash, Andre Goodman, Vernon Fox
Come on Millen, is that asking too much?!?!

donavans attitude would be good for the defense...i like brians scenario (even though no 'canes)...imo he could help out lehman and boss on how to properly "blow some one up" while wraping them up as well

For Millen, it might be. He is, in my opinion, a good drafter, but nothing else. If I could add two things to that plan,
1.) Restructure Az and Joey's contract
2.) Get Johnnie Morton

If Darius is tagged I have no interest in him. I wouldn't pay all that money plus give up draft picks for him.
I'd go to plan B which would be Kenoy Kennedy and don't wait around till the draft to fix the postion.
