A little birdie told me that AM 1270 in Detroit is reporting that Walker has been released by the Lions. I've been looking for confirmation and found it on the Lions official site under the transactions section (they do some things so quitely - shouldn't this be on the front page?)

Couple of quick thoughts...

1) this needed to be done
2) the Lions should save about $1.2M in CAP dollars
3) maybe we can finally see Holt play a little
