 WR Position Battle
With Bill Schroeder and Mikael Ricks both gone the Lions will be without 2 of their top 4 reception leaders from last year. The leader in receptions, Hakim, will battle for time and the #3 spot with Tai Streets. Even more interesting is the battle for the final WR spot in which 3 players from last years squad will be fighting for one roster spot (Reggie Swinton, Scotty Anderson and David Kircus) - and vet Trevor Gaylor is also in the mix. Who do you 1) want to win the roster spot and 2) think will win the spot?

i want the home town boy kircus to get the spot but guess that swinton may get the nod because he doubles as a return guy.

Pablo,
You only think that we are going to keep 5 WRs? Rogers, Williams, Streets, Hakim are all sure-ins. Either Drummond or Swinton will be given a spot for kick return duties. I think we should have 6 on our roster and Anderson probably deserves a chance as he was a good receiver last season, injuries just ended his season.
That said, I expect us to keep Anderson and Swinton.

Good question Brian. I think we will be keeping 6 WRs. The first 4 are easy. Number 5 I'm fairly certain will be Eddie Drummond (he will be kept for return duties if nothing else and yes he would be selected over Swinton). I should have clarified that in the question but folks can also pick numbers 5 & 6 since that may make it even more interesting.

I just want to make sure Drummond is over his injury last season and can provide the burst that Swinton didn't really have.

first off id like to point out how sad it is that bill schroeder was one of our top receivers last year.
anyway i hope kircus will win that sixth spot behind drummond. it should be between him and anderson. anderson, however, always seems to have great preseasons.

I don't know, Anderson really impressed me throughout the season last year, and it would be dissapointing to see him cut.

Notice that Kircus isn't getting any real looks and is in the 4th with Mirer.
Sorry, but that means he's back on the PS squad. Be good insurance for later though.
