 Redskins on a firing spree
Sorry if this has already been posted somewhere, but apparently the skins are firing people without mercy.

Interestingly they released Randle-EL, I know Burleson has already been signed, but how about another weapon for Stafford??

I'd take El for our third WR and drop the other two.

I could handle that, plus he can return punts too.

I don't know if Smoot is a starting caliber CB. Actually, I've never payed too much attention to him to even know if he's a cover guy or is he's more of a man type. Either way, he'd atleast be quality depth if nothing else.

Randel El is re-joining the Steelers. It's a shame I liked him on the Skins and now I'll have to hate him again.

Doesn't matter to me, I hate the Redskins just the same. I juse hoped we'd land El, but meh, we got Burleson anyway, and my new fav Lion, KVB.

Quote: Redskins sign Maake Kemoeatu Posted by Michael David Smith on March 10, 2010 11:48 AM ET The Washington Redskins have beefed up their new 3-4 defense with the signing of a beefy defensive lineman.
Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that former Carolina Panthers defensive tackle Maake Kemoeatu signed a two-year, $7 million deal with the Redskins.
When Kemoeatu's visit with the Redskins was first reported, it didn't look like a signing was close because Kemoeatu isn't close to being completely recovered from the torn Achilles' tendon that cost him the entire 2009 season. But apparently the Redskins are satisfied that Kemoeatu is on the road to recovery.
The 31-year-old Kemoeatu played for the Ravens from 2002 to 2005 and the Panthers from 2006 to 2008. He is listed at 345 pounds but is likely bigger than that, and recent reports have suggested that his goal during rehab was to stay under 370.
It's what? 6 days into free agency and that's the Skins' first addition. They've re-signed a few guys but mostly dumped players.

You would have thought with an uncapped year that they would have had a spending spree.

Ok so I forgot about Artis Hicks. 2 new players that weren't huge names. Not business as usual especially in the uncapped year as steensn pointed out.

Apparently Supreme Commander Shanahan has more authority than Zorn or other past coaches. No Suprise there. This is a Shanahan team now it appears, no longer just "Snyders overpaid Misfits".
