2 games?! I think he's going to get more than that from the league, and he may not be a steeler by the start of the season.

I honestly don't think the league will suspend him. He hasn't been arrested and no charges are going to be filed against him. The Steelers are likely to suspend him for conduct detrimental to the team and we'll be lucky to see that reach 2 games.

After reading the article, I think the league should and will suspend him.

I also hope a civil case is filed and it costs him upwards of $10 million, for blatantly raping a drunk chick (it is obvious,.. read the details.. this isnt a money grab or cry for attention). Her story is consistent, as is all of the witnesses, and it was reported right after it happened to the 1st cop the group of f4riends could find. The Only reason its not gettign prosecuted is her friends were kept out of the room she was raped in by his 2 OFF DUTY Police Officer Guards, so she is the only Visual Wtiness and she had too much to drink. Too Much to Drink is not a license to rape.

Personally, now I wish he had died in his motorcycle accident. I used to be a steeler fan but I won't watch them on tv or buy a damn thing while that joke of a man is their QB.

Lastly, his official name has been Changed to Big Ben Rapelisberger, and it will forever remain so.

The league (Goodell) does not have to worry about whether the player is arrested or charged to be able to suspend him for conduct detrimental to the league.
I believe that if this was the only incident, then it would be a different story. But the details coming out are pretty telling, and I think he should be suspended at least four games. Molesting a drunk girl is far more serious than taking a performance enhancing drug, in my opinion, and far more damaging to the character of football players in general.

Any primadonna QB who travels around with off-duty cops as body guards, who are used to escort drunk girls into a secluded hallway, and then prohibit that girls friends from checking on her needs to be sent a message. And the off-duty cop? He should be stripped of his badge, weapon and any chance at a pension. As far as I'm concerned, this guy was just as guilty as Ben.

It's such a shame that rape is so difficult to prove. In my opinion, it can be worse than murder depending on how the murder is committed. To me, rape is an unforgiveable act and is not acceptable in any sort of situation. If you are a rapist, you are a terrible person and you deserve NO forgiveness. As far as I'm concerned, you can either rot in prison or be executed. Whichever is more feared.

Pre meditated murder and Child Molestation (obv a form of rape) are the only 2 crimes I think should be punished more. And I would be fine if it was a 1 stirke death penalty on all 3. There is no excuse.

Sorry, I can't let this slide. While I agree that everyone is entitled to their opinions, this isn't something I personally like to see on this (or any) site. I would never wish harm on anyone and don't believe anyone else should either. That being said, I'm also quite aware that this could've been just a fleeting thought and someone we all say/write things we don't mean. I hope this was one of those cases. If this wasn't one of those cases, then consider this a warning.

No Fleeting thought. I meant it. I am not a religious person (although I am agnostic). Those who Rape, Molest Children and Commit pre-meditated murder forfeight their right to live as a normal human being. The world would be a better place without them. While execution for such "minor crimes" may never be applied, I have no qualsm about wishin for the ignonimous end for such worthless creatures that I am ashamed to call them human beings.

I appreciate your honesty but this thread is now closed. I will not put up with the wishing of anyone's death anywhere on this board.

Am I being a bit too harsh? Perhaps.
Could it be Monday morning crap? Certainly. But I do not feel comfortable with something like that being said here, espeically when its not in the Off Topic area. If another Mod wants to unlock and continue this discussion, then be my guest, but I will not be party to something that is wishing the death of another human being.
