 Re: Cushing Suspended 4 Games for Steroid Use While, personally, I believe that Jairus Byrd from Buffalo will and should win the award, I do agree that Delmas had a good season for a rookie. He did make plays even though he did miss tackles. He certainly is an aggressive player who loves the game and gives everything he has. He'd be a great player if he would wrap up the ballcarrier more often.

Re: Cushing Suspended 4 Games for Steroid Use Delmas didn't get a vote again the second time around. Cushing won again. The All Pro team vote came out different however. Cushing had been on the second team and this time around he didn't make it.

I thought Delmas deserved AT LEAST A VOTE
Oh well. We will see who is the better defensive player outta this class in 10 years. FOR THAT, Delmas is more likely to be the lead dog (in my mind, at least).

I mean his defense was last in the league, and the secondary was a glaring problem on that defense. Sure it's a team game and everything, but he didn't have world beating stats like Jairus Byrd who was on a pretty bad team himself.

Delmas did have a historic season for a rookie though, IMO that in and of itself should garner at least a couple votes
