Roy was traded to the boys 5 or 6 games into the 2008 season while TO was there. There were very good reviews for Roy for day one of OTA's here in Dallas but everyone knows what he is like. In fact, he made some spectacular catch in practice and Jerry Jones asked all the media if they got that on tape. Then again, Jones didn't say anything on the next play when Roy dropped an easy pass. It is an interesting mix at WR down here with Austin, Roy and now Dez Bryant. They have given their #4 and #5 WRs permission to seek trades (Patrick Crayton and Sam Hurd). The boys released former Lions guard Cory Procter today and another former Lions guard, Kyle Kosier, to learn how to play center as well and be the backup there. No news on former Lions QB Jon Kitna out of Dallas today... I wouldn't mind Crayton on the Lions. He would be a really good #2 here.

I fully expect this to be Roy's last year in Dallas. He should begin the season starting opposite Austin, but it's only a matter of time before Bryant takes his spot. I just can't see Jerry Jones paying that much money to someone who will be sitting on the bench.

One of my favorite Roy quotes was right after he got to Dallas. He said after a practice: "You know we seemed to work a lot harder in Detroit."
You know it's strange how terrible he got all of a sudden.

You know it's strange how terrible he got all of a sudden. It's amazing how lazy you get after a $45 million dollar pay day... Screw Crayton in Detroit... Leave him and brick hands in Dallas or elsewhere... I'm sick of pass catchers that can't catch!

Re: Roy 'Ain't no such thing as me sitting on the bench'
What amazes me is some of the posters on this forum that screamed bloody murder when Roy was traded, claiming that the Lions were sending away their best player, blah, blah, blah.
Roy is all talk, nothing to back it up.
Just remember Roy, tip the pizza guy....because the way you're going, you're gonna end up competing with that guy for the same job.

I'll admit that he runs his yap too much and really hasnt done squat in this league but with all our access to media these days its easy to be a critic. Think Kellen Winslow Sr was silent all the time or Lynn Swan.....

Just because someone shoves a microphone into your face doesn't mean you have to say something. And what he has chosen to say over the years is utterly ridiculous given that his play has been marginal over the past three or four years. He has NEVER lived up to his top ten selection status, and has never truly earned the money he is making.

Re: Roy 'Ain't no such thing as me sitting on the bench'
I know he's a hick from Odessa and has made some really bonehead statements but if you were a millionaire before you reached the age of 25 I'm sure it would be hard to keep your mouth shut when reporters are pokin ya for some juicy intel.
I'm not tryin to defend the guy I'm just saying the media/society are just as responsible for creating these loudmouths as they are themselves...
