 Batch resigns with the Steelers....
http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/05117/494873.stm
Quote: Batch, who missed all last season with a knee injury, re-signed with the Steelers yesterday for one year at $540,000 and a $25,000 signing bonus. Batch, a former starting quarterback with Detroit, has been a backup with the Steelers since 2002 and became an unrestricted free agent in March

Well, he did say that being #3 is not an option for him and he's going into camp expecting to earn the #2 spot. I think he'll wind up #3 though, he should retire before he becomes another Rick Mirer

Batch would do fine with KJ, Roy Williams, Mike Williams and Charles Rogers. A problem with Batch was being injury prone. When we released him I blamed much of that on our subpar Offensive lines but he is suffering worse injuries in Pittsburg even though they have a better O-line and he is not seeing enough of the field to get hurt. I am surprised that they brought him back. He's had his chances to beat out Maddox but has failed, he'll probably be #3.
