 Minicamp Boycotts in Philly
Eagles | Owens May Boycott Minicamp
Wed, 27 Apr 2005 17:04:51 -0700
Les Bowen, of the Philadelphia Daily News, reports Philadelphia Eagles WR Terrell Owens' agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said he does not plan to make any announcement whether or not his client will attend the team's upcoming minicamp. Owens, as reported, is unhappy with his current contract and the assumption has been that he will not report to camp.
Eagles | Westbrook May Boycott Minicamp
Wed, 27 Apr 2005 17:04:25 -0700
Les Bowen, of the Philadelphia Daily News, reports Philadelphia Eagles RB Brian Westbrook will presumably miss the team's upcoming minicamp because he is not under contract at this time. Westbrook is looking for a long-term deal from the Eagles and the two sides remain far apart on coming to terms on one. He was tendered a one-year, $1.43 million deal as a restricted free agent.
Eagles | Simon May Boycott Minicamp
Wed, 27 Apr 2005 17:03:44 -0700
Les Bowen, of the Philadelphia Daily News, reports Philadelphia Eagles DT Corey Simon will presumably miss the team's upcoming minicamp because he is not under contract at this time. He has not yet signed his franchise tender with the team and his agent, Roosevelt Barnes, has noted Simon will not attend minicamp or training camp. While the Eagles tried to trade him, they have indicated they do not plan to release him. Barnes noted he feels Simon could receive the kind of long-term deal he is looking for if he was cut by the team.

Awww I feel so sorry for a team that has gone to the NFC Championship game 4 years in a row
Even though I wont shed any tears for them I applaud how they have gone about running their team like a business and not renegotiating contracts, and sticking to their guns

Agreed, they are definately an organization that has been known to stick to their guns when it comes to these issues......and they have still been able to make the NFC Champ game 4 years in a row in spite of it (or would it be because of it )

There just another reason why I think Rosenhaus should be banned from being any pro level sports agents, he' just bad for any sport....( I know he is only in NFL but he can still go to other sports)

Isn't Rosenhaus Bubba's agent? Oh yeah, Bubba's holding out too, that's why I ask. I agree, Rosenhaus should be banned from the league, all he does is cause problems. He says his players should be worth 5 times more than what they are (McDouchle), and burns bridges in the process. I know Rosenhuas just wants a bigger piece of the pie, but still, I wonder if he really realizes that these players make more in one season than what many people make in a lifetime.
