 Bears cut Hillenmeyer and Harris
Hillenmeyer wouldn't be a bad pickup at all. Sure, he was hurt last year, but the guy is an excellent tackler and solid in space. Sheds blocks well and is a good, hard working player.
Harris is a turd - no thanks.

Harris is a turd - no thanks. Agree. Hillenmeyer was really good, when he replaced Urlacher the year before last, in the middle. The fact is, he could start at either strong or middle on this team, right now. If I'm Mayhew, I'd be calling Hunter's agent right about now.

Re: Bears cut Hillenmeyer and Harris
When he went out last year, it seemed like he was going to go the Casey Fitzsimmons route and retire due to concussions. Not sure what he's thinking now.

Yeah, he was considering retirement, but I'm not sure anymore...from the Bears fans around here, it seems like he wants to play.
