 Re: Greed and Lust.
I would love to see a year of replacement football, and I would go to every home game that I was available to attend.

I think it would be awesome... but it's a personal preference for liking things to change up... out of the ordinary.

 Re: Greed and Lust.
One thing the league still has in its pocket is something called "Last best offer" (or something like that). If they can convince a judge (as it will go to court) that there last, best offer is a valid one, then they will continue with that until a new CBA is signed (at least that's how I think it works ) EDIT to add: Apparently we need a "Reading is fundamental" class in here. Please keep ALL CBA discussions here: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=14317

 Re: 2011 CBA Thread
The only reason that the NFLPA would decertify is to file a class-action antitrust lawsuit against the NFL. This may still allow football to be played since the NFL would impose their own work rules while the courts decide the outcome though.

 Re: 2011 CBA Thread
Quick question: The whole thing about $9 Billion in revenue, is that 9 billion per club, or 9 billion for the whole NFL to split up?

 Re: 2011 CBA Thread
League and Union agree to 24 hour extension in talks. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d8 ... aking_newsI hope this means they get something hammered out. I know it's still unlikely but hey this is progress right?

 Re: 2011 CBA Thread
doubtfully. That said, I don't think this is all that difficult of a situation. Take the 18-game schedule off the table to let the players think they have won something, keep the % of revenue right at 57% for the players, increase the "off the top amount" from $1B to $1.5B - there solved!

 Re: 2011 CBA Thread
Yeah I was trying to be optimistic. I don't really think anything with be resolved with just an extra day but I'm trying to remain hopeful.
