Redskins: Hall released at his own request
The News
The Redskins released safety Corey Hall on Thursday. The Washington Post reports that Hall asked the team to release him just two days after he signed as a free agent. The six-year veteran is expected to retire and pursue a career in coaching.
Our View
We'd be very surprised if Hall returned to coach in Atlanta, where he played the last two seasons. He agreed to re-sign with the team last month, but then skipped a minicamp workout while claiming that the team had negotiated with his former agent. Instead, look for Hall to end up coaching in Washington, but not with the Redskins. He is expected to join the coaching staff at Washington State. Here's hoping he remains on campus for more than 48 hours.
This is kind of weird...
