Still think he won't change positions?

Like I said, we should have looked at him to play somewhere.

First, what was his contract?

Second, he wouldn't be good enough to replace a backup on our offense. Why bring him here? He's a one trick pony who got way too much credit for winning, and has been exposed ever since he hasn't had the luxury of an elite playing defense.

He may be a nice guy, but he is a couple of years of dedicated practice from being a starter level player at any position.

Lol, it's just funny coming from wjb. Remember when Tebow said he was a QB and did not want to switch positions about 8 weeks ago? Why would he change his mind to come play for Schwartz and a 4-12 team?

Oh, here it is...

The rumor is still that he is only going to play QB in NE, so it's still a wait and see on if he is willing to learn another position.

He won't make it through training camp. We all know what Tebow's skill set it, and it is very limited. He won't be on their roster come week 1.

Patriots cut Tebow, keep Gronkowski on 53

When it comes to tight ends, the Patriots are going to hang onto the hurt one, and get rid of the quarterback that looks like one.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Patriots have decided to release quarterback Tim Tebow, but they won’t place Rob Gronkowski on the physically unable to perform list.

For Tebow, the move might represent his last chance to hang onto an NFL job, as he was brought in by his patron Josh McDaniels, and praised by both ownership and coaches. Ultimately, his struggles with throwing the football proved more than he could overcome.

The news on Gronkowski is good, although expected after they released all their spare tight ends yesterday.

PFT has also learned the Patriots have released defensive tackle Marcus Fortson.

Well he never did change positions and didn't make the team either.

He never would have admitted he was wrong anyways. He would have just come up with some convoluted way to twist the situation to where he was right the whole time.

It's been pretty apparent this whole time Tebow was never going to switch positions. They even hinted at that the whole time in NE, but maybe after this cut he will finally relent and do whats best for him to stay in the league. I'm really not even sure he could make a position change since he wouldn't make it as anything other than a FB/TE and he may not be able to block well enough to see the field for a few years if he can even catch. He should have been moved to Linebacker years ago where his speed and agility along with his size would have really excelled at the next level, but this is what the read option does to good athletes in college. Look at a guy like Pryor, he is such a physically gifted kid that is wasting his talent playing QB when he could have been a WR or DE to maximize the use of his speed and size, but again when the college coaches got him they just left him at QB.
