Aaron Curry AND (not OR) Matthew Stafford
Aaron Curry was released today. Was he not the topic of who we should take at #1 years ago!?!? I even pushed for him.
What say y'all?
Cheap!

Old news. It's been discussed numerous times about how Stafford was the better pick, despite Curry being the fan favorite to be the pick. One of the few things that Mayhew and Schwartz have gotten right.

I wonder what the problem is with Curry. He was supposed to be the single most nfl ready player in that draft...but he has stunk. I havnt watched him enough to know why, does anyone have a clue?

When the Giants, whose LB corps is good but nothing crazy, let him go during first cuts, something tells me he isn't worth it. Who knows, though. He can't be worse than Palmer.

He had maturity issues during his time in Seattle. Didn't focus on learning the system or playing with the team.

He's admitted that he wasn't mentally committed to football and that his head wasn't in the game. I think that's probably still the case. Also, I've talked to a few Seahawks fans who said that he seems to be really dumb. As in, he has a ton of natural ability, and he never had to think much in college so he never developed the ability to diagnose and react to changes on the field. He just ran to the ball. In the pros, that doesn't work and he hasn't been able to adjust.
