Getting the band back together?

Instead, they went with another ex-Lions, Dan Campbell. I've always liked him, but I don't know how wise it is to promote him this soon. I don't know if Schwartz is still a possibility as a DC, but that would make a lot of sense.

Campbell is just the interim HC, so they probably just like his demeanor and he can use existing terminology. Good learning experience for him.

Schwartz is a great coordinator, Im not sure he should be a head coach though. Seemed to be a bad gameday coach with regards to decisions and wasnt necessarily the type of coach you want the players to model their personalities after.

Kinda what people said about Belicheck after Cleveland fired him. ( Not saying Schwartz will be the next Belicheck.)

thats a long way to go for an interim coach. do we see them make a permanent hire midseason? seems odd to fire a guy this quickly.

of course its fairly obvious the big free agent Suh didnt buy into anything this coaching staff was selling - wore tennis shoes to full padded practice, ad libbing and openly commenting that he wanted the defense to take a different direction.

on the other side of the ball, it seems ryan tannehill is a certified piece of garbage. ripping practice squad players about there income in frustration for them dominating him and philbin getting so desperate that he asked them to take it easy on Tannehill to rebuild his confidence.

speaking of philbin, does he want to come and consult and see if he can help the lions with there offense and maybe some tips on the packers offense? watch the vikings snatch him up first...smh

Bye week timing. This gives an extra week to make changes that can't necessarily be done in one week's time. Philbin had 3 seasons and a quarter and there was no change, even after 160 million dollar investment this offseason.
