So there seems to be more moves now than usual so I figured one thread would be good.

Rams cut Chris Long and James Laurinaitis along with Jared Cook. At the right price I'd take JL to replace Tully.

I really wanted us to pick Laurenitis in the draft. And now that we have achance to get him, we should. I don't think he'll cost us too much, given how the market for a 4-3 linebacker is only about half the total number of teams.

I completely agree. The Lions should jump at the chance to get Laurinaitis. They may want to take a look at Long as well, if his asking price is deemed reasonable. He still has some skills.

And you don't have to wait for FA to start with players who got cut.

On a side note, I think the Rams are making all this room so they can make a play for Payton.

Compared to Tulloch, Laurinaitis is Dick Butkus in his prime.

Titans just cut QB Zach Mettenberger. He's still pretty young at 24 and he has prototypical QB size and a big arm. With the right coaching he could be an asset at QB. I wanted us to try to land him last year after they drafted Mariotta and now that he's available I say take a shot. We need 4 arms for camp anyway.

He's got starting experience and youth. One of the teams with question marks at QB will offer him more money than he's worth or he will take low pay for a team where he has a chance to actually start. The Lions are neither of those, so don't get your hopes up.

Edit: I forgot he has to pass waivers, so the Lion's do have a chance to land him without him having a say in matter.
