Post Rams put all their eggs in one basket
http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/15201 ... geles-rams

2 1st rd picks, 2 2nd rd picks, 2 3rd picks for the 1st overall and 4th, 6th rd picks

Supposedly they really really want to draft Carson Wentz from NDSU to be the face of the new LA Rams.

Thoughts?

As a So Cal guy who hates the Chargers, and used to be a Raiders fan who hated the Rams until they all moved away... i really wanted to try again to be a Rams fan (as my #2 team, lol) but this makes it so hard. They just saw exactly what happened when they fleeced the skins, and now they sell the farm for a#1 pick when there isnt even a clearcut #1 like Andrew Luck. I hope it works out but feel like they more likely set their team back 3-4 years just to get a "face of the franchise".

They do have some good pieces on defense but this limits their ability to give Wentz protection and people to throw to which I think has been a problem for some time with them.

They gave up a ton, but they already have a very good defense and some ok pieces on offense. They were a team that was going to have to do something like this eventually, it just may have been a year to early. The team wasn't going to get any better without a QB, so may as well go all in while you still have the best part of your team together.

i would agree if they went all in on a veteran established player. im not sure this move leaves them any better off than staying put or even moving back and taking connor cook or paxton lynch

It was a butts in seats move. New city, new face of franchise, and reports are that they will take home state guy Goff. Definitely about selling out the stadium.
