Donnie Abraham retires, Jets to push for Law
Jets: Abraham retires, Hunter acquired
The News
Jets cornerback Donnie Abraham retired on Thursday and the team responded to that news by acquiring Cowboy corner Pete Hunter in exchange for a conditional sixth-round pick, reports ESPN's Len Pasquarelli. Abraham had been publicly questioning his desire to play this season all spring. He had 54 tackles and two interceptions in 16 games last season.
Our View
While acquiring Hunter will give the Jets some more depth at cornerback, it is expected that they will now make a serious push for Ty Law. If Law goes to another team, veteran Ray Mickens, rookie Justin Miller and Hunter will compete to start the season opposite David Barrett.

Isn't this the second time he said he was retiring?

My View:
Ty Law (and his agents, the Poston Bros.) will only play for the team that writes the bigest check. Cash money up front and guarantees. Period. Nothing else matters - Law already has a ring. Money is the ONLY thing they care about.
