16. Detroit Lions (1-0)

Three No. 1 draft choices, two Williamses and a Rogers, representing almost a billion dollars worth of coin of the realm, lined up at wide receiver against the Packers last Sunday. When the day was done they had registered, amongst them, five catches for 54 yards. OK, so it's not a billion. But at least I got the other numbers right.

Only two 0-1 teams (Carolina & Philly) made the top 15, meaning every 1-0 team is ranked ahead of the Lions except Cincy and Washington. Yes, that mean teams like the Fins (11) and 49ers (15) are ranked ahead of the Lions.

Other NFC North teams:

21 - Vikes
26 - Pack
28 - Bears

The following poll/current results is also on SI today:

Which team has the best chance of reaching the playoffs?

Dolphins 16%
49ers 5%
Lions 30%
Saints 22%
Buccaneers 27%

Thanks for pointing this out Pablo. I was on the SI sight earlier and read this and almost fell out of my chair. No way the Niners and Fins should be rated ahead of us. I know they won, but so did we. Let's see those two teams do it again this weekend. It was week 1 and a lot of things can happen in week 1 games.

Then he goes and bashes our Big 3 for catching only 5 balls. That is not the story! The story is our Defense only gave up 3 points to Brett and the Pack. All of our WR's are still in their rookie deals and are not making the real big money yet. He is just pointing out an easy target.

I bet that his rankings zoom up and down with wins and losses. If New England had lost, they would probably be in the bottom 10.
