Goods backs to go around make me feel like saftey is growing as a need! Still think KJ is much better than these fellas though

It is almost like RBs are becomming another commodity in the NFL. It is pretty easy now to pick up a solid RB via trade, FA or the draft without much problem.
KJ does have the ability to be in the elite category though. I think Henry is pretty decent. As for Rueben, I would be scared to take a chance on him given Denver's system for cranking out productive backs. Look at Portis when he was with the Broncos vs. the Redskins. Look a O. Gary once he left Denver.
KJ, Tose and Bryson are fine with me. Glad we can say that now.

Yeah, I am happy w/ the running backs we have. Now if we could somehow get Droughns as a FB to back up Sledge that'd be nice. Seeing as how I see it I think Sledge might be calling it quits here in a year or 2 at the most.
But as we all know that FB isn't a dire position for us to conentrate on now.

They also have Paul Smith at FB, whom we forgot about since he spent most of the year on IR. He is signed for 2005 as well and it seems like Mooch has liked this guy since his days in San Fran.
Stephen Trejo might also be resigned this offseason. I don't expect to see much at FB. I don't see Droughns returning to Detroit.
I also like "Thump" Belton (or at least the nickname Thump) who spent some time with the organization last year. Last I had heard, he was picked up by the Bears.

Droughns wants play time so he can capitalize off his stint in Denver...he will not be back here. And I can never imagine Corey ever retiring...he is like a staple of the Lions...

I agree Corey is a staple of the lions. I just hope he stays around long enough to get his ring.

That's the new rule in Denver, didn't you hear?
Once you have a decent season, you're gone!
