7 years 52 million
I also see on ESPN that Edgerrin James resigned with the Colts for 1 year and 8 million

Dude's almost 30 years old. Will he last that long?
Why would Edge want to be traded from the most prolific offense in football?

That's a healthy contract for Pace...it better be a front-loaded contract because I can't see him playing for more than another 3 years.
IMO, Edge probably wanted to be traded because he wants a 5 year deal so he's gauranteed bonuses and such. With the focus on Manning and Harrison, it's not his show and I think he wants to be the feature guy. *I'm not a fan of Edge*[/u]

Pace definately did get a HEALTHY contract with a $15 MILLION signing bonus. We're talking about a tackle here.

That's even more ridiculous than Jonas Jennings 7-year $36M deal with a $12M SB. Pace is the better tackle, but Jennings is about 2 years younger. Either way, both deals were stupid.

I guess that StL wanted to pay him insane amounts of money so that they wouldn't lose him.

Pace is an amazing football player. He would attract big contracts from many teams.

He was tagged. Houstan didn't want to give up two first rounders for a distinguished gentleman at the ripe old age of 30. He would have gotten a contract anyway. StL just choose to overpay him.

Pace is the best OT in the game. He would be worth every penny. Tackles play better when they have had some years on them, and the way he plays (using his hands and not much of his body)doesnt put much wear and tear on his body
