I just set your keepers for you. Now, we have five more owners that have to show up.

Hey sly-
Any updates on the other teams? Are these new teams going to take over for existing teams? How will this effect the draft?

Can we drop 4 teams and dump their players into the pool to be drafted?

The final say is going to Billy and Rhys, but this is how I see it happening. It looks like 11 owners are returning, so that leaves 5 available teams. C02 and Roy have asked to be replacements, so that makes 13. Hopefully, we can add one more owner to make it an even number of teams and then kill off the other two. All of the players from those two teams would then be added to the draft.

Just wondering here but how can it be considered "fair" if the new owners don't have any keepers??? Will there be a special draft for them to get some keepers? or will they be able to trade with others in the league in order to get them? What about their draft picks? Where do they come from and where will they be drafting?
I'm not trying to be a pain in the azz, just wondering. Thanks in advance.

I can think of two options. One, they draft one of the existing open teams and then can select three keepers from that team.
Or, we hold an expansion draft just like the real NFL. Each of the new teams gets to pick for three rounds first from non-keeper players and non-rookies. This actually may give them an advantage over the rest of us since they will have a solid pool of who would have been 15 keepers (5 teams x 3 players = 15 possible keepers) and needing just 9 (3 new teams x 3 players). Plus they get to pick from the open pool of players and someone's 4th best player might be better than many teams 2nd or 3rd best.

Wags, the new owners will take over the roster of an abandoned team. They will select their keepers from that.

1 think to keep in mind:
This is the third year of a 3 year keeper league. So, you don't really have to worry so much about keepers after the draft.

That sounds fair to me.

OK, as soon as we can get a third person to join, I'll let them select which teams they want, then kill off the other two. For those that think they'll be slick by picking up the discarded players, the keeper deadline has passed, so it'll do you no good.

I still want one more person to take over an existing team, but we have to do it quickly. The draft is scheduled for August 24th, so that's less than three weeks. Anybody? Bueller?
