 So who else is a "Homer" and has some Lions on their roster? So normally I would consider anyone with a stockpile of players from their favorite team on their fantasy football roster to be a Homer. Growing up in the UP I knew WAY to many guys that drafted Favre, Driver, etc. way too early!
Anyway, for once it's starting to look like someone other then CJ on the Lions has some fantasy football merit! So I'm curious to see who else has some Lions players on their roster and who they have. We can either come out of this bragging that we were smart and took them as sleepers, or cry in our beer at the end of the season in misery. I will say regardless THANK GOD for Fantasy Football! Considering these last few years being such dark times for us I would have given up on watching the NFL all together if it wasn't for FFB.
Anyway, I have Best and Sheffler on my teams. I was really surprised to see Best still sitting there at later end of the 5th round. Considering that Matthews went in the 2nd rd, I figured Best would go in the 3rd or 4th. I got him AFTER Forte, Felix Jones, Ricky Williams, and Pierre Thomas went off the board. Of those guys I would have taken Best only after Thomas! The rest of my RBs in that league are Turner (7th overall pick, surprised he was still there), Jamal Charles, Fred Jackson, and Mike Bell so I'm really happy with my RBs. In my other league I have Scheffler as a late round backup TE behind Celek. I thought about Burleson in the 15th but he got snatched up 2 picks before me.

Re: So who else is a "Homer" and has some Lions on their ros I have Stafford and Best and Sheffler in a keeper league. Unfortunately, I was drafting high for the last couple of years because my team stunk. LOL.

Fisher or Joekel or Lane Johnson for #5 overall. I have settled on Johnson as my preference. The only thing Joekel and Fisher have over him is experience at LT. 2 years from now, Lane Johnson will be known as the best LT of this draft!

Re: So who else is a "Homer" and has some Lions on their ros I got Calvin Johnson, Jahvid Best, and Detroit's defense in all 3 leagues I'm in. I have Jason Hanson in 2 of the leagues.
Have started Detroits D since week 2...gotten me mad points from sacks and turnovers. They are ranked 3rd in points scored for defenses.
I have Shaun Hill in a 2 leagues. One is a 18 team league and I have Big Ben so Shaun hill was just a holdover (was using jason campbell, Hill MUCH better)
Also I have Matt Stafford sitting in one league.
