Hey guys, i do my 10-team stand scoring league draft on Monday, and I have pick #7. Though its hard to say who might be available at that point, just curious who you would pick between Aaron Rodgers and Andre Johnson?

I'm in the same boat and I just had my draft. when it got to me, only RBs had been taken. I had my choice of McFadden, Gore, Forte, MJD... I took Calvin Johnson. He was the #1 receiver on my board. Then in round 2 I took Frank Gore. Not too shabby for the first 2 picks.

As for your question, I would take a WR over a QB in round 1. I don't think it's worth it to take a QB that early. There are so many good QBs, but only 3 really elite WRs in my opinion. So I'd go with Johnson if I were you.

Thanks Touchdown. Ya ive been doing mock drafts with Andre taken at my #7 pick and i seem to be able to have a good team. Im hoping AJ in rd 1, and CJ rd 2. I might try for Tim Hightower/Shonn Greene/Ingram as one of my starting RBs, so i can get one of them later.

i took Mccoy at #7 in my draft. BUT it should be noted that im in a PPR. Mccoy showed he is likley to be Westbrook Pt 2. and in ppr leagues he's going to be a monster. Also being at 7 you need to watch what others are doing. i was in a draft earlier this week where hardly anyone was taking RB's. in the first 2 rounds 7 Qb were taken...talk about wierd..but while they all did that I loaded up on 1st round tallent. (Peterson,A. Johnson, and reggie wayne in my first 3 picks with tons of RBS to choose from in the 4th)

Every draft is different though. Last night, I had the 6th pick and was planning to take Andre Johnson, but the two people ahead of me took Aaron Rodgers and Calvin Johnson (homer pick). This caused Ray Rice to fall into my lap, so I snapped him up. Andre ended up going next.

Ya know, im still tempted as hell to take Calvin at 7. If I was originally planning to take Andre, but ended up taking Calvin, how big of difference do you think that would make?
