Post Sheff Hurt?
Gary Sheffield is reported to have torn a tendon in his finger. Sheff has said that he will be able to play but Jim Leyland has said that Gary will not be available. No word on how long or serious.

Who takes over as DH?

Your preferences? Remember that right now the Tigers ar batting .190 as a team.

Barry Bonds

It sure would be nice to have Cameron Maybin now.

Fisher or Joekel or Lane Johnson for #5 overall. I have settled on Johnson as my preference. The only thing Joekel and Fisher have over him is experience at LT. 2 years from now, Lane Johnson will be known as the best LT of this draft!

First Granderson, then Cabrera, and now Sheffield. This sucks! Hopefully, Miggy will return to the lineup today, though. As for DH, I'd put Thames in there for the time being.

He's day-to-day per MLB.com:

Sheffield day-to-day with finger injury

None of it matter yet anyway. Last year the Tigers started hot and then didn't make the playoffs. There's a LONG way to go.
