National punch line? It's not just for the Lions anymore.
Their horrendous start put the Tigers in that position, too, at least for now. Consider:
• SI.com has a tale of the tape that compares them to "Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace."
Such as, hard-to-watch new character: Jar Jar Binks and Miguel Cabrera.
• And Elliott Harris, Chicago Sun-Times: "Going into the season, most baseball experts thought the Tigers had a chance of running away from the rest of the American League Central. Few realized it was going to be to the bottom of the division."
The number one reason why the Tigers are loosing Is because it's Mike Martz's Fault. Serriously has anyone thought about changing the hitting coach? In 8 seasons mcclendon was only a .244 hitter. Remmeber Don Slaught was the Hitting coach in 06 for the world series team.

No, the Lions started fast (6-2) and finished below .500
The Tigers started 0-7 and will finish above .500
Now back when the Tigers lost 100+ games we could have compared the two franchises....
