 Bondo out for season.
The Tigers announced today that Jerremy Bonderman is done for the year due to a blood clot in his throwing shoulder. Apparently the clot was coused by the top rib, just under his arm pit on his throwing arm. He was suppossed to have surgery to remove the rib today.
How important is that top rib for a pitcher?
Is it possible that Bonderman can be a better pitcher without that rib?

Rogers had the same thing in 2001 I believe. Rogers said he could gain some speed on his pitches by having the surgery.
