 Brainstorming a trade scenario
Would Milton Bradley for Carlos Guillen be a good trade for the Cubs and Tigers?
Cubs looking to move Bradley bc he couldnt handle the pressure there. But he is a switch hitter with a good OBP and hits with power from both sides of the plate and 3 yrs younger than Guillen. I believe the salaries and duration of contract remaining are similar for both players 2 yrs - 20 million or so. Guillens position versatility 1b/3b/OF might make him a better NL player and he would have better power numbers at Wrigley.
Tigers OF potentially in such a trade:
CF Granderson LF Raburn RF Bradley DH Ordonez 4th OF Thomas
UT D Kelly

The problem with this is the Tigers end up with Bradley on the team.

While Bradley is a quality player, he is a lockeroom cancer where ever he goes. The Tigs don't need that. We have a good core of young players that don't need to be exposed to that type of influence.

i think bradley is worse with the media than he is with teammates...leyland is a strong manager and you have to remember that sheffield did fine here. guillen with his contract, defense, and injury history is at least an equal risk as bradley who wont be under as much pressure from the media here in detroit

Seems like the Cubs would be likely willing to do a Bradley+prospect for Grandy trade.
If they do, I'd want 2 pretty damn good young prospects, one being a solid arm.
I'd do a trade like this:
Cubs - Curtis Granderson
Tigers - Milton Bradley and Ryan Flaherty OR Josh Vitters (I'd also consider Jay Jackson)
