Detroit's only 4 games behind Minnesota right now. To have them finish 14.5 games behind would mean they completely bomb, which doesn't seem plausible. Minnesota and New York aren't that good, and Detroit isn't that bad. There are only 2 teams more than 14.5 games out of the wildcard, Kansas City and Tampa Bay. And Detroit is far superior to each team.
