Red Sox could pull of major feat
No other team in baseball has ever come back from an 0-3 hole to win a baseball series. In fact, no basketball team has ever accomplished it either. Only twice in major professional sports has this been done, both times in a game they used to play called hockey.
I'm not a big baseball fan but Schilling was great last night and the whole A-Rod fiasco made for good drama.
bobv must be going crazy right now. Best of luck to your Red Sox!

I remember the Blazers coming back to force a game 7 in the NBA Playoffs a few years ago, but they lost. Things are looking good for the Red Sox as of now. Just wonder if putting Pedro in was the right move.

That was one hell of a series. It definitely screwed up my sleeping schedule, but it was worth it.

How about f*ck both teams, and GO TIGERS!
The series was like watching why baseball is terrible these days. Teams buy their way into the world series, whether it be the Yankees, Red Sox, or the Angels
Top teams salaries
1. NY Yankees 183,335,513
2. Boston 125,208,542
3. Anaheim 101,909,667
4. NY Mets 95,754,304
5. Philadelphia 93,219,167
6. Chicago Cubs 91,101,667
7. Los Angeles 89,694,343
8. Atlanta 88,507,788
9. San Francisco 82,019,166
10. St. Louis 81,008,517
11. Seattle 78,483,834
12. Houston 74,666,303
The only team I had respect for its organization this year was Minnesota. Their salary is 53,585,000, nearly a fraction of what the Yankees and Red Sox have. WHERE'S THE PARITY? 7 of the top 12 teams salary-wise made the playoffs. Which is why I have hated baseball over the years.

Great points Brian. The NFL is the smartest league in the USA and the salary cap is a big part of the reason. Hockey and Baseball both need to learn this lesson.
Baseball's players union is too strong - they may never get a cap.
I don't watch baseball throughout the bazillion regular season games but I'll sneak a peak if the Cubs or Red Sox are in the playoffs cause I feel sympathy for their fans - us Lions fans can relate.
Looking at the Yankee's payroll - I just loved it when they got beat even if the Red Sox have a heafty payroll as well.
That said, if it came down between a World Series game and a Lions (or probably any other NFL teams) preseason game - I would go with football.
