I agree... Personally I don't know why they signed this guy anyhow... I would rather Infante play in Placido's place...

Guillen has a nagging injury; not sure what though.
The Tigers have looked pathetic lately.
Why the hell did JL bring in Miller when the Tigers were down by 1 run in a MUST WIN game against the Twinkies??? You don't put the kid in that situation IMO. You bring in a proven winner like Walker or Zoom to get the job done in a must win game.
The biggest problem, outside of terrible pitching as of late (not including Roberston getting ZERO run support as has been that way all season), is swinging at balls in the dirt. What the hell is going on with this team? They are all trying to hit dingers and not simply get base hits. The homers will come, but don't rely on them. Don't know what JL is telling this team, but it sure as hell isn't "DON'T SWING FOR HOMERS ON EVERY SWING!!!!" This team will be lucky to make the WC at this rate.
Yes, I'm officially tooting the horn now. This Tigers team looks aweful.

I like bringing Miller in for a pressure situation. We brought him up to play him in the playoffs assuming we make it. Why have him crap his pants there when it really counts??? IMO it displays confidence in your playrs and exhibits the expectation of solid performance under any and all conditions...

But you don't bring him in when it could cost you a shot at a 2 game swing against the #2 team in the division (especially with the lead down to 1.5 games).
That's just common sense.
Other than that, I agree with you on the reasoning...but not against the Twinks in a must win game.
