What do you guys think? I like the idea of hitting him there occasionally. It spells Curtis, and takes some pressure off him, and also plays more into the type of hitter Pudge is now. He isn't the RBI guy he used to be.
Depends where we bat Granderson when Pudge is leading off... I don't like the idea of sinking him down the line-up, especially when he's struggling...
Also, I don't like the idea of moving around the lead-off guy too much. Maybe I'm a little shell shocked still from Tram's disaster moves at lead off, but I like guys being able to be comfortable where they're batting... As far as Pudge not being an "RBI" guy anymore... I don't know about that... I think we sort of asked him (either explicitly or implicitly) to be a power hitter last year, and that is certainly something he's not anymore... Still, I think he can hit some RBI's if we bat him 3rd or 6th, rather than 4th or 5th... He's still a multiple base hitter, and can bat a guy home if they're on, but last year, IMO, we asked him to be a power hitter rather than just going out there and playing his game...
