That was a sweet game.

Wade looked lost out there, and he was owned on both ends by Tashaun.

Sheed was on fire, if only we could get him like that every game.

Pistons vs. Spurs baby. :P

The stones looked very solid last night. Miami started something like 8 for 9 and Detroit was only down 2 points. Sheed was great, but the entire supporting cast was very solid and Billups hit some huge baskets in the final minutes. Brown prepared his team very well and they executed to match. Well done Pistons - homecourt is ours...

I knew we wouldnt have any trouble with these guys from the get-go... I'm just sick of all these Piston haters. Were a lot better team then Miami, IMO, actually I think were the 2nd best team in the legue behind San antonio because they have a blend between offense and Defense, but in the end the better defensive team kicks rectum!

When we tied at 80 near the end I said to my wife I said, "Wife, watch Billups take over the game now." and boya. People do not realize that Billups is the man. If he were to play on another team that was more me first the guy could have silly numbers. I guess I don't get why Sheed only played 30 minutes...especially since he was so effective offensively and defensively. I suppose with McDyess you are not missing to much. I love watching Carlos pass...he is a GREAT passer...the wife thought we had J.Kidd at first (she knows nothing) Some of the other series I thought we looked sloppy but we looked together last night. I think Miami is in a heap of trouble...

Screw Shaq and his comments about the Pistons last year...he said Rip was our only real legitimate player LMAO

Oh Yeah!!! Carlos is a pimp, but he just needs to shoot a little better. He made about 3 Miami guys look silly driving to the basket, but missed the layup. But those no look passes are works of art.

Some jerk on Around the Horn said that Detroit had only 6 good players, and that you needed 8 to win the championship. I guess he doen't know how to add, Billiups, the brothers wallace,Hamilton, Prince, McDice, Carlos, and Lindsey, not including Eldens D against Shaq, and maybe Tim Duncan. :P

Miami is in a big hole. The Pistons so outclassed them scheme wise and there is really no big adjustment they can make to counter because they are not as complete a team. Brown's attack Shaq with Arroyo on the P&P and Wade with Prince and Rip was brilliant. Miami had monster games from Dooling and Jones. Even so they were decisively beaten. Even if Wade gets a bit more production which will not be easy, Shaq figures to decline in relevance and the rest of the cast will be very hard pressed to equal their game 1 heroics. The Pistons are capable of putting up a stinker, but if they stay focused the entire series the Heat CANNOT win barring a major injury or catastrophe.

[-( NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Carlos is a gamechanger and Lindsey can play D and hit the 3. I'm not saying the bench is as good as last year, but we have two people on it who could start on other teams and some other role players. So I would say 7 definitly and 8 streching it a little.

There are no stars this is a team. In a way saying the Pistons only 6 good players misses the boat, because they are a complete team whose talents fit together defensively and offensively. For example, Arroyo and Campbell may play huge roles this particular series. Also, Billups could score as many points as Wade but does not shoot as much. He will probably never be an All Star, but in the playoffs he could easily be MVP again. I do agree, though, that the Pistons bench is lacking in many ways besides scoring.

I really miss Mike James. I felt good about him and Hunter both in for Rip and Chauncy.

Um Hello...don't forget about the Human Victory Cigar kids!!!!

Carlos was the starting point guard in Utah and now he is our 3rd option at the point...how can you not like that. Lindsay Hunter is one of the better defenders in the game in fact I think it was AI (I think) that said he is the best defender he has faced. McDyess could start on almost any team. Those guys are all GOOD players. The rest of em like Darvin Ham and Elden Campbell are role players and I feel extremely comfortable with them that they will do their job whien they get in. Elden could come up big if we ever get in foul trouble...he is not just a big gump, in his day he was a excellent player and still can step up. Darvin and Dupree bring legs and athleticism and both can jump out of the stadium. And finally, Darko...provides comic relief.

I think a big factor as to why our bench used to look so much better was because they played much more and our starting five was not nearly as effective. We had to rely on Corliss, Jon Barry, Memo, Chucky, Mike James, etc...over the last few years because our offense would completely stall out. They played more and so we were more familiar with them. But McDyess is better than anyone we have had come off the bench by a long shot. Rip and Chauncey are not our sole offensive threats so when Rip hits cold streaks we don't go 8 minutes without a bucket. I just think that our 5 have grown together more and play so effectively to LBs plan that our bench sees no time and we aren't as comfortable with them.

I think that our 6 best players are the starting 5, and McDyess.

I don't think that Arroyo does much for the team. He is a solid backup point guard, but not a great player. Hunter never hits any shots. He is a defensive specialist, and plays D well, but can't hit the open 3.

6-7 works, if Carlos was in the lineup more often, and made more of an impact on each game like McDyess does, then I would have a higher opinion of him. But he's sporadic. He wouldn't start on most teams. Some games, he has 7 assists. Others, he is on the bench.

I think there is a reason why Dumars brought in Arroyo (duh)...I'm thinking in about another year that Carlos will be our starting 1 guard, and Chauncey will start in the 2 guard position with Rip as our 6th man coming in to reileve Carlos Arroyo, then we move Chauncey to PG when Rip comes in...
