Pistons traded Afflalo, Walter Sharpe and cash to the Nuggets for a future second round pick. This move freed up $1.8M in cap space for the Stones.
Who is out there that they will try to sign with the cap space they have left? A big man is needed in the worst way.

Looks like they were getting rid of dead weight that would never get any PT since we've got like 8 swingmen on the team.

Move does free up space for whatever reason. I liked affalo's game. He didnt have much arc on his shot but he was a savvy defender and brought youth to last years old team.
At least he wont have to battle minutes with Rip (if we keep him) or Gordon.
Have fun playing with Chauncey again.

Rip for Boozer is a no brainer here.
Gordon would replace Rip and I think it would pretty much be a wash, if not an improvement, and Boozer would improve us greatly with a big presence down low (replacing Sheed).

Every move the Pistons have made last year and this year is aimed at 1 thing. Signing King James after next season when he is a free agent.
