Post 2010/11 Celebrity Death Pool. Wanna play in 2012?
If you are easily offended by this morbid, sick, and twisted game, I suggest that you leave this thread immediately and never return. For everybody else, read on.

I'm surprised that nobody has ever started this game on this board yet, but I guess there is a first time for everything. I know that it is demented, but that's half the fun of it. It also takes a lot of research if you want to come out on top and become the 2010 Lionbacker Celebrity Death Pool Champion. That's probably why I'm starting this thread now. Those who are interested will have over a month to do their research before their picks must be in. Here are the rules:

You must pick 12 celebrities or somewhat famous people who you think may die during the 2010 calendar year. They can't be your neighbor who has cancer or your ex-wife who you plan to kill, but people whose death will be reported by the national media.

Points will be awarded based upon their age at the time of death. The age will be deducted from the base number of 100 to achieve the score. For instance, if an 80 year old celebrity dies, that will result in 20 points being awarded. Because of this, it isn't worthwhile to pick people over the age of 100 since no points would be earned for their death.

Whomever has accumulated the most points by December 31st, 2010 will be declared the winner. It doesn't matter if you correctly predicted the demise of 10 celebrities over the age of 90 if somebody else picked three celebs under 60 who met the Grim Reaper. The most points scored wins, not the number of deaths.

All entries are final on December 31st, 2009. Anyone who edits their entry post on January 1st or later will be disqualified. If you select a celeb who dies before 2010 gets here, you can remove him/her from your list and add someone else. In fact, you can edit your entry as many times as you wish up until the deadline.

Killing a celebrity listed in your death pool in order to gain points is not against the rules, but is strongly discouraged. Do so only at your own risk of imprisonment or being killed in the crossfire by the police.

That about sums it up. If you have any questions or are interested in participating, post in this thread. Remember that you have until December 31st to make your 12 selections, but you can edit them at any time before then if you make them early.

The same celebrity can be picked by multiple people. Just because someone else selected WCF, doesn't mean that you can't too. For instance, I'm sure most people will have Ernie Harwell on their list, unless he dies this year.

I'm thinking Bob Barker. I know that the man was always training with Chuck(I wish I could act) Norris, but the man is older than dirt and messing with Janice Pennington had to shave some years. 8)

Even though I'm not offended... I would feel bad playing and then rooting for someone's death.

C'mon, Steensn, you can do it. Just look at #2, #4, and #8 on my preliminary list. I'll have no problem rooting for their demise at all. :D

Just wanted to bump this up and remind people that you have less than a month to get your picks in. I've already come up with three changes, but I don't want to post them until it's closer to the deadline.

BUMP. Only 13 more days to get your selections in.

mwill2, you can pick 12 people in this death pool, not just 10.
