 Goose's Draft Positional Rankings...
One of the best things about living in Big D is getting all of Rick Gosselin's draft info (and NFL info during the season). Every year he previews each position each day leading up to the draft (in addition to his mock drafts and top 100). They are a good resource for the draft. While more detailed than what I'm going to post, I will put up his top 15 at each position, his sleeper, and how he ranks the positiion out of 10...
He started at safety, tightend and defensive line so far. He will continue (in order) with QB, CB, RB, LB, WR, OL and STs.
SAFETIES
Strength = 5 (out of 10)
1 Eric Berry, Tenn (1st Rounder)
2 Earl Thomas, Texas (1st Rounder)
3 Taylor Mays, USC (1st Rounder)
4 Nate Allen, S. Fla
5 Morgan Burnett, Ga Tech
6 Chad Jones, LSU

11 Darrell Stuckey, Kansas
12 Darian Stewart, S. Carolina
13 Larry Asante, Nebraska
14 Ben Burney, Colorado
15 Kurt Coleman, Ohio State
Sleeper = Matt O'Hanlon, Nebraska

Looking at DL... we really should be taking some more this year with that being the deepest group. I wouldn't mind a 1 and 2 if Dunlap slips to the 2nd

I agree. I think you gotta get quality lineman while you can.

Quality is the key. Remember in 08 when Marinelli kept 10 DL on the roster when most only keep 8? Yeah, most of them sucked.

Maybe that's why Mayhew is possibly leaning towards Okung? The OL class doesn't seem particularly deep, and it seems like we should be able to get a first round quality DLman in the top of the 2nd. Makes sense to me...

It would make sense to me as well...
I think though what we are really hoping for is a trade back to get some extra early rounds and take advantage of this deep draft. We could use 3-4 first round talent guys opposed to 1-2 top notch guys. Unfortunately... the rest of the NFL knows this as well...

NFL Total Access thinks Tebow is going in the 1st also. ( they think either Denver or N.E.) I also think that Colt McCoy could go in the 1st round. ( I think McCoy is a perfect fit with Denver) = ( They might package both their 2nd rounders to move up to the late 1st round or top of the 2nd round for him).
_________________ Fisher or Joekel or Lane Johnson for #5 overall. I have settled on Johnson as my preference. The only thing Joekel and Fisher have over him is experience at LT. 2 years from now, Lane Johnson will be known as the best LT of this draft!

That is already 20 defensive players he has projected in the first round with the LBer rankings to go. Goes to show how deep the talent is in this draft.

Is he projecting them to go in the first round, or is he simply saying he believes they have first round talent? Big difference. I think there are about 40-45 guys in this draft that one could say have first round talent.

+1 on this. The only guys I would take over Dunlap (presuming they both fell) at #34 would be Kyle Wilson or McCourty.

My favorite day ever as a Lions fan.
Somehow landing the Ndamo-nator would be the second best day ever.
