 Bruce Campbell - OT Maryland
How come this guy have fallen so far? He was slated as a mid to late 2nd rounder. I think the lions may want to jump up in the 4th round and pick him up to work in as a future LT. Your thoughts??

He blew up the combine but everyone agrees that he's a project. He may be athletic but not necessarily technically sound and apparently has durability issues.

I would take a chance on him with our fourth. His biggest problem seems to be technique, which can be taught.

Re: Bruce Campbell - OT Maryland
Much as I'd love to see an OT drafted this year, I doubt it happens before the 7th round. They apparently are at least satisfied with the current OL, still have a pressing need at OLB, and only 1 pick between rounds 4-6 (at this point) with which to get one.
Maybe either Campbell, Fox or Young falls that far. We'll see I guess.

Bruce is a turd, that's why he fell.
I don't know how anyone thought he was first rounder.

Re: Bruce Campbell - OT Maryland
.... I think it mainly came from everyone expecting Al Davis to draft like he usually does.

Re: Bruce Campbell - OT Maryland
lol, and there he goes to Oakland after all. At least Davis picked him at a lot more reasonable spot then most of the 1st-2nd round projections.

Re: Bruce Campbell - OT Maryland
I'm thinking that nobody told Al Davis that the draft started on Thursday and he didn't show up to the draft room until Saturday. Once there, his first two picks were Bruce Campbell and Jacoby Ford. Both of them are typical Al Davis moves.
