 Re: Draft Day Thread
So what happened to that 2nd pick in round 7? We were coming up and then it went to the Seahawks from the Broncos through the Lions?

 Re: Draft Day Thread
Lions traded 1 7th in the Sims deal.
They had the 6th pick in the 7th and have the 48th(last) in the 7th.
They also traded #220 to Philly for a 2011 6th.

They also traded #220 to Philly for a 2011 6th. We added a 7th in the Scheffler-Sims deal. We had 4 sevenths after that. One was part of the trade up for Best. One we traded to Philly for a 2011 6th. We used the other two.

 Re: Draft Day Thread
Tim Toone @ 255, I was hoping they would have grabbed Donovan Warren CB with a draft grade of 7.0 and we draft Toone who doesn't even have a draft grade??? WTF

WTF Well, in fairness the difference between #255 and UDFA is a big difference: one is a case of "have to" and the other is a case of "want to". Maybe they felt Donovan Warren, being a local guy, would be more willing to sign with the Lions then this guy. /shrug Sorry, that's the best reaosn I can come up with they skipped over a lot of area players I thought they would look at.

Yea, I wouldn't be surprised if local players like Donovan Warren, Joique Bell, Blair White, and even Greg Matthews were signed by the Lions as UDFAs.

 Re: Draft Day Thread
I don't like that pick at all. Why not draft Donovan Warren? I would've even taken Blount at that value. Can someone please justify why this is a good pick? I thought they could've made that pick count this year ](./images/smilies/eusa_wall.gif)

How can it count , anybody you wanted them to draft is still available. The odds of the last player taken in the draft being successful is enormous , still who's to say this kid won't be it's impossible to tell when you get to #255.

 Re: Draft Day Thread
The last Mr Irrelevant we took was Ramzee Robinson, and he is 4 years in. Playing with his 3rd team, but he has at least been depth at CB and making rosters.
I agree a chance of one becomign a star is nil, but that doesnt mean we cant get our value out of them (a roster making backup is a good value for rd 7)

 Re: Draft Day Thread
With the Toone pick, they might have been thinking "kick and punt returner".

You have to remember, just because those guys played in the state of Michigan, doesn't mean they live in the state of Michigan. Also, I could see some of those guys being upset because the Lions DID have a chance to draft them and chose not to.
