 Free Agents??
Jason Richardson and Donyell Marshall are my choices.
Alex Acker and Jason Maxiell are lighting it up in the summer league! Every guy we drafted is better than Darko. Maybe if Darko was 500% more aggressive

Jason Richardson would be nice. Does he have the Piston mentality?

There is no way we sign Richardson. He does not fill a need a he has a max contract with the Warriors.
As for Marshall, he could backup Prince, but would be a luxury, not really a need. Plus, he could get more money from other teams.

Richardson doesn't fill a need? We need perimeter shooting, and Richardson can drain 3s. Surround him with the talent in Detroit, and he'll drain 3s all day long. I thought he was a FA?

No, Richardson is not a free agent. Richardson is a top 20 talent in the league. And the Warriors best player. They have him signed to a max contract. He will be on the Warriors a few more years.
I'm not saying that we couldn't use his talent, but were would he play? He is a 2 guard and that is Rip's spot.
I do think we need some outside shooting. But we need someone at a reasonable price. I think we will wait and see if Finley gets released from Dallas.

A backup for Prince is EXACTLY what we need...not a luxury IMO.

I agree. But so could Finley. And I think he would be a better option if released.

I remember Richardson playing for his high school, and losing to my high school in the state championship. We had a kid named Lavell Blanchard, who should have won Mr. Basketball, but Richardson got it. Anyways, Blanchard went to Michigan, and was solid. Richardson went to State, and was solid. Richardson was great in the NBA, Blanchard bombed. Wait... what does this story have anything to do with this thread?

I would rather have JRose over Finley. Rose can take over a game still and that seems to be something we are missing at times especially in our offense sputtering moments

And Rose is from Detroit! I'm sure he would love to come home. I'm not too sure Toronto is looking to release him. But with the new salary cap rule in place where you can cut a player so you don't have to pay the luxury tax, he would definitely be a viable candidate with his huge contract.

Yeah... I also thought that Antonio McDyess was never going to be the player he was in Phoenix.
Joe knows.... we'll see.

Good point, Brian and we do have Arnie Kander the best in the league.
