Post Graphic Violence Keeper League 2010. Official Thread.
I activated the league earlier tonight and set a temporary draft date/time of Sunday, August 29th at 4 PM EDT. BillySims can keep it the same or change it to whatever he wants to. This now allows us to begin trading draft picks and we can also add players from free agency if we want to. Keep in mind that this does not include rookies who can only be added to teams during the draft or thereafter. BillySims has already increased the number of keepers to 8, but I don't think he has made any position changes as of yet.

For any talent-deficient teams out there, I may have some players you might be interested in for a mid round pick. Just ask. I've already set my keepers, but that's subject to change since I've got 11 guys who could be considered keeper worthy.

Everything you did is fine with me. I wasn't even aware that ESPN had updated to the 2010 season already.

Here are the changes I have made:

Changed max at RB from 5 to 6.
Changed max at TE from 3 to 4.
Changed number of slots for RB/WR from 1 to 2.
Changed number of slots for WR/TE from 1 to 2.
Changed number of slots for TE from 1 to 2.

I added 3 new Offensive starters and 2 roster slots.

If ESPN ever thinks about adding it, I would like to add a Team Offense to our starting slots. They have a Team Defense. I wonder why they didn't do the Offense also.

I already see some problems, Billy. First, why six RBs allowed on the roster when you can only start a maximum of three on any given week? That's going to make the RB pool awfully shallow. Also, you have the potential to start seven WRs on the same week, but you're only allowed to have six on the roster. That has got to change.

Your right on the RB. I will reduce that back to 5 max.

As far as WR, I see no problem there. Teams can use the max WR's and then use either a RB or a TE with the remaining slot. It forces either the RB or TE into play.

Well, I'm the type of guy that would actually start 7 WRs if given the chance to. Since you won't up the WR limit to 7, I will. You can't permit someone to start a certain number of players at a certain position, and then not allow them to have that many players on their roster. There is zero logic in that.

So is this league happening this year? Seems a little dead.

To be honest, I can't really get into fantasy football much until the draft gets closer. Hell, that's still 38 days away, so there's plenty of time.

agree with sly. Training camps haven't even opened, I don't like thinking about FF until August.

Yes, this league is happening. I just figured since this league is already established, and there doesn't appear to be any teams changing hands this year, that there isn't any great rush to hurry up and wait. LOL.

BTW, I extended the keeper deadline until August 15th, since some people haven't selected their keepers yet.

Is there a way to see who the other teams are keeping?

Only Sly and me can see who everyone is keeping. It doesn't matter to anyone else who any other team is keeping. You can see every teams entire roster though. If there is a player you are interested in, you may offer a trade.

Hmmm. It matters to me, I inherited a pretty crappy team, so it could influence the direction I go if I think a certain position will be more available in the draft. Just saying. Plus, I have no real trade bait.

You have draft picks. That's usually what people trade to get a keeper that they want.
