They Have (or are currently) taken a potental playoff team and (looking almost intentional) driving them straight down the tubes with their total inablitlity to work with the players. Swartz may have done a couple a bone headed things but thats like saying the apple is as big as a watermelon.
2 totally different universes in my mind.
I dont get the compairison at all. Losing record - why would winners come here unless they've overpaid beyond belief? Is CJ going to stick around if this team continues to win 2 games a season? Would Delmas resign? Would a top LT FA come here? We've seen it over the past 10 years. The answer is no. Average FAs are paid top dollar and underperform. Even then, they're misused, like Damien Woody. There is no such animal as the bolded part.

 Re: The McDaniels Trainwreck
So who thinks McD keeps his job at the end of the year?
That was a good looking comeback, but STL was in the prevent pretty much all 2nd half.

I wonder if this means Tebow is gonna get some playing time over the last 4 games, to showcase him to the new coach so he doesn't go out and draft another QB.

 Re: The McDaniels Trainwreck
The Broncos had no choice but to fire him. At the rate he was going, he would Millen-ize the team. Atleast the Denver owner had enough sense to end it when he did unlike Ford.

 Re: The McDaniels Trainwreck
The problem with McDaniels was that he believed the hype about himself. He believed that no matter what he did, he would make things better as a result. He lied to players, he tried to make the team about him and not the players. That never works. A coach either finds a way to placate the talent and learn to work through their skill set, or he puts himself on the chopping block. You can't fit a square peg in a round hole. McDaniels felt like his system was flawless, and that 53 men had to adapt to him. That's a sure fire recipe for disaster.

It also helps to spell your doom when you trade away all your best players for chump change.

 Re: The McDaniels Trainwreck
To be fair, the Cutler trade wasnt chump change. It was still a bad move and set a precedent he continued to follow with other high picks/good players... but yeah, that was the biggest Pick bounty since the Hershal Walker trade (I think).
Of course the Bears are about to win the NFC North, and McDaniels is looking for a job with the Broncos in shambles...
