If there isn't a new CBA ... Will any Juniors Declare?
When do college Juniors have to declare for the draft by? If there isn't a new CBA in place by that time, I really don't expect but just a few college Juniors to declare. If that comes true, then this draft is going to rank as one of the most talent deficient drafts in the history of the draft. At least as far as the first 3 rounds go. I just hope that there would still be 13 first round worthy players.
_________________ Fisher or Joekel or Lane Johnson for #5 overall. I have settled on Johnson as my preference. The only thing Joekel and Fisher have over him is experience at LT. 2 years from now, Lane Johnson will be known as the best LT of this draft!

Some of them have already declared. Once they hire an agent, there's no going back. However, they can say they're turning pro, then change their mind, as long as they haven't hired an agent or taken any money. What will be interesting is to see if some of the juniors hold back, a CBA is established by June, and then they declare for the supplemental draft. That could become very interesting, but I doubt it happens. It is likely that if a new CBA is ratified, it won't happen until August or so. Even if the top juniors all declare, this isn't going to be a great draft, at least compared to last years. There's not as much elite players, and the depth is far, far more inferior than to last seasons.

I think blanket statements like "its a weak draft" are used way too often. Maybe the high end elite players arent as many but this draft has good depth. There are tons of good d-lineman especially DEs and a couple of great DTs. There are plenty of good QB prospects and the same with the LB depth and at least 3 very good WRs. Its perhaps a little less predictable with OTs and RBs that are too of the bigger positions to talk about this time of the year but I still think there are plenty of good players to be had

And as if to answer your question, junior CB Brandon Harris of Miami, FLA has announced he will skip his senior season and enter the draft.
This is potentially very good news, as it is likely that both Amukamara and Peterson will be off the board by the 13th pick, but Harris could turn out to be well worth that selection, and has the potential to be better than both Patrick and Prince in the NFL. That's potentially folks, so don't overreact.

This is from gbnreport.com
UNDERCLASSMEN DECLARING FOR 2011 DRAFT
Includes players who have either officially applied to the NFL as underclassmen for eligibility for the 2011 draft or are known or thought to be in the draft. Underclassmen have until January 15th to apply to the NFL for early entry to the upcoming draft. Underclassmen who do apply by that date and have not signed with an agent then have a three-day window of opportunity beginning on the 15th to withdraw their applications.

Yes, many will. The question may be better suited as, "Will any big times juniors stay in without a CBA?" Int that case, IDK.
