That sucks for the Titans. Kerry's starting to get ancient and that team needs help at a handful of positions, primarily WR and TE. They will also need some serious help on D when Tulloch eventually leaves in FA.

He's probably happy as heck. you know he's not taking any personal responsability. He's probably blaimin everything on the Titans.

 Re: Young out in 2011
Actually, I thought he took it pretty well and talked pretty highly of Jeff Fischer. He also said that Jeff never wanted him (didn't want to draft him) and never felt like he was his guy - makes sense to me.
I wouldn't be shocked to see him twice next year, seems like he could be a Minnesota type guy...

 Re: Young out in 2011
He was always best as a scrambling outside of the pocket (and imo) not very good with the long ball (accuracy) , so Min makes a lot of sense.

 Re: Young out in 2011
Anyone else here his parting "wah wah wah" shot. What a crybaby... the coach didnt have my back, blah blah blah... didnt give me enough authority/support...
You got millions off dollars and didnt perform.... you earn your respect in this league kid.. this isnt college (and esp not texas college) where the QB isa GOD.
As Mark Schlereth said... "If you can't get along with Jeff Fischer... who can youg et along with". JF doesnt even allow cursing. he's the nicest most laid back top coach in the NFL.

 Re: Young out in 2011
I was shocked when I saw this. Until the moment it happened it always seemed like Bud Adams was in VY's corner much more than Jeff Fishers. Now this happens. I think it's refreshing where an owner has more loyalty to his coach than to the players. It happens too often where a coach gets a raw deal because of a player. Al Davis could learn a thing or two.

 Re: Young out in 2011
Adams might have sided with Fischer over Young, but Fischer's job isn't 100% safe. Adams said he was still evaluating and it wouldn't surprise me to see Fischer gone as well.

 Re: Young out in 2011
Lo. Bud is saving face. Fischer is only gone if he wants to.
Bud let VY walk because other coaches, the Gm, and even players came to him to support Fisher over VY.
It isnt just Fischer who "Didn't have my Back" as VY put it.
If Bud is dumb enough to fire Fisher over his bruised Ego, then he will get multiple offers that make him more money than he made there.
Fischer is a badass.
