It is crazy... school are literally cutting players that didn't pan out to make room for new recruits. Essentially in the end giving them 1-2 extra recruiting classes over a 5 year span to pick talent from.

You would think the rule would be universal for all. No wonder the B10 and other conferences are at such a disadvantage, but they could turn it around and use it as a recruiting tool and tell the recruit our offer stands pat.
